Cipla is proud to be associated with Sharks captain and Springbok squad member, Johann Muller.  The 29 year old, 114 kg lock who hails from Mossel Bay and attended Oakdale Agricultural High School just outside Riversdale made his provincial debut in 2003 versus the Eagles, his Super 14 debut the same year against the
Hurricanes and his Springbok debut in 2006 versus Scotland. 

With 74 Super 14, 60 provincial and 22 Springbok caps to his name, Muller rose to captaincy of the Sharks following the departure of John Smit. In his first year  he proved a very capable leader, leading the Sharks to the 2008 Super 14 Semi-final and to Currie Cup victory.
