Distribution Centres

Cipla has two distribution centers in Cape Town, one in Durbanville (4 000m²) and the other in Atlas Gardens (5 500m²) where all stock is handled, from picking to shipping.

A dedicated team of 60 employees work day and night to ensure customers are supplied with product on time - whatever it takes. The teamwork amongst the distribution centre teams is phenomenal.  This team spirit was also reflected when staff decided to form a soccer team called Cipla United in 2009. They still compete in a league against various other corporate teams.  Last year they ended top of the log in their division.  "We don't even have to exercise much as running around at work keeps us fit!" says team manager Isgaak Majiet. At an annual awards ceremony individuals within the team are recognised and rewarded for hard work and special effort.
